Analysis of the capability of high efficient CHP in Austria

The study was based on the useful energy types heating, cooling, cooking, steam, oven and mechanical energy. Considering the minimum technical size of market available technologies and typical planning requirements, the technical potential was calculated. With taking into account of already implemented CHPs, the still existing technical potential where presented. In a final step, possible barriers for the realisation of the existing technical potential were analysed.

BMWA (Federal Ministry of Economics and Labor) presented the study in Brussel and in a further political discussion as a basic analysis of the CHP potential.
